The Crossvine Wins Big at Texas Star and Summit Awards
The Crossvine is pleased to announce that we recently took home a Star award from the Texas Association of Builders (TAB) for Best Community, 200 Acres or Less. We also won two Summit Awards from the Greater San Antonio Builders Association (GSABA) for Best Sales Brochure and Best Landscape Design / Subdivision Entrance.
“We are thrilled to be recognized by such incredible industry organizations for all the thought and planning that’s gone into developing The Crossvine, and to be in the company of these other builders, developers and industry leaders from across the state,” said Chris Price, President of Schertz 1518 Ltd., the developer for The Crossvine community. “To see our efforts reflected in these awards gives me a great sense of pride and accomplishment. We look forward to the future growth and development of this community and the continued partnership of the City of Schertz.”
The Crossvine development team has worked closely with the City of Schertz to create a neighborhood that values community, attention to detail, meaningful design, and the use of high-quality materials. From the organic sales brochure made with special embossed paper, to the custom-designed book covers of classic novels that are produced and donated to local libraries every year, to the beautiful two-foot-thick cave stone walls that define the development’s entrances, The Crossvine is committed to investing time and resources to make a thoughtful impact for their residents and the community of Schertz, TX.
Upon completion, The Crossvine will include single-family homes, garden homes, townhomes, multi-family clusters, and independent and assisted living facilities, alongside planned commercial areas. As a master-planned community, The Crossvine is purposefully designed to meet the long-term needs of its residents, with community-focused amenities sprinkled throughout the neighborhood, such as pocket parks and greenspaces, amenity centers with pools and gathering spaces, 12 miles of trails, and multiple lending libraries.
In 2019, work is underway on the next two phases of 185 single-family homes within The Crossvine and construction is moving along at Fire Station #3, the city’s newest Fire / EMS facility which will serve the growing southern Schertz community from its future location at The Crossvine. The developer is excited to kick-off building Schertz’ first true garden home community early next year.
